We have partnered with the Sussan Group since 2005, working with the Sussan and Sportsgirl brands at store and head office level. Our work at Sportsgirl has primarily involved group facilitation and has included:
Senior Management Strategic Planning & Leadership Development
Working directly with the executive team over the past 5 years, we have designed and facilitated annual strategic planning forums to develop 3-year plans as well as tactical workshops to focus on the season ahead. These workshops have focused primarily on product, people, place and promotion.
In addition, we have worked closely with the executive team to develop their leadership skills. This has included executive leadership assessments, identification of leadership behaviours and the leadership practices for leading through both good and difficult times.
Manager Development
We have also worked extensively on leadership development for managers at both retail and Head Office level. Some of our work has included:
- Ongoing leadership development for Regional Managers, including a 3-day leadership program, incorporating 360-leadership assessments.
- Store Manager development, including presentations at national conference as well as 3-day leadership development for Premium Managers.
- Ongoing leadership development for middle managers at Head Office, including performance management, leadership for employee engagement and leading teams.
Group Facilitation
Over the years, we have facilitated various group workshops. This has included strategic planning for IT, buying and the distribution centre. We have also facilitated workshops for new employees to identify business opportunities to improve the Sportsgirl induction program at Head Office.
Store Manager Program Design
In order to improve the leadership capability of Store Managers, we have designed a number of leadership programs for Store Managers. These programs were highly customised to Sportsgirl and delivered to Regional Managers in a train-the-trainer style workshop, for them to then roll-out into stores.
